Muji House announced their latest offering – a 3-storey house designed for small blocks of land in urban areas.
The target occupants are young couples and families who want the convenience of living in an urban area.
House sizes range from 68 ~ 110 sqm (732 ~ 1184 sqft) and are intended for blocks of land ranging from 60 ~ 70 sqm (645 ~ 753 sqft).
Prices range from 19 ~ 26 million Yen depending on the plan type, or around 235,000 ~ 305,000 Yen/sqm. This is the most expensive of Muji’s homes, with their other two home styles averaging around 193,000 Yen/sqm.
This is Muji’s latest home offering in five years. They now offer three unique home designs, all which come with a variety of floorplans and options.
Most of their sales to date have been in regional areas but it is hoped that this design will appeal to those living in big cities where land is expensive and space is at a premium. They are expecting to build 50 of these houses in 2014.
The model house is located in Arakawa-ku, Tokyo and inspection is by appointment only. Unfortunately all viewing times for May and early June have been fully booked.
