The Tower Yokohama Kitanaka sells out 1.5 years prior to completion

As of late July, all 1,126 apartments available for sale in The Tower Yokohama Kitanaka have sold out over a span of 8 months. Construction of the 58-storey building is due for completion in February 2020.

Over 6,300 groups visited the sales showroom, and a total of 3,700 purchase applications where made on the 1,126 apartments. One popular apartment received as many as 42 applications.Lucky buyers were selected via a raffle-type system, which is the norm for new apartment sales.  72% of the buyers were residing in the Yokohama and Tokyo area. One and two-person households made up two-thirds of the buyers. Sales first began in November 25, 2017, with 730 apartments on offer. They all sold out on the first day of sales with an average of 2.8 applications per apartment.

Apartments were priced from 45 ~ 800 million Yen when new, with an average price of around 1,200,000 Yen/sqm. A 212 sqm (2,281 sq.ft) apartment price at 800 million Yen was the most expensive new apartment to have ever been sold in Yokohama.

This is the largest building based on apartment-count to have been built in Yokohama City since 1993.
